GE Fanuc Software can utilize two different types of hardware keys: USB or Parallel.
Step 1 - Locating Key Style There is a clear label with gold printing or white screened printing directly on the key with manufacturing codes (opposite side from Key ID label). You will see either Max, M4, Pro, or M1 which indicates your key style. NOTES: · There are older style keys labelled as Rainbow SuperPro. Internet flashes are no longer supported for this key type. Please contact GE Fanuc’s Customer Care department for replacement. · If flashing multiple keys, please be sure to follow Step 3 for each key and that the appropriate key is on the computer when following these steps. · Because this security key is used for other GE Fanuc Software products, it is recommended that you update keys on machines that are not running GE Fanuc software at the time of update. If this is not possible, it is required that you stop running GE Fanuc Software during this update process.
Flashing keys remotely must be done via Remote Desktop. Using Terminal Services is not supported.
Step 2 - Locating Key ID
